The access code provided for entering the hotel premises and accessing your room is indeed convenient, but its functionality is crucial. In my experience, the code worked solely for entering the hotel, leaving me unable to access my room, so I spend half the night in the lobby until the reception opened. Unfortunately, the hotel's listed phone number seemed to operate within the same hours as the reception, as I received no response. As a result, after opening the reception, I just got "Sorry" and a new code.
Unfortunately a really disappointing stay at this B&B hotel, which was a shame because we had such a good experience at another from this chain in Italy.
First of all, the staff were not particularly welcoming or friendly. The hotel is the first I've seen that operates a code system for the rooms. The first room we tried to check-in to, the code did not work. We went to reception and they gave us another code, which also did not work. No matter, they switched us to another room. This time the code did work, but there was an unpleasant smell coming from the drains. You needed to keep the bathroom door shut or the whole room would smell bad. The room was small but perfectly adequate, comfortable bed.
I also paid for use of the underground parking. This is another code. It worked the first time, no problem. However, after we used the car the next day to visit Hamburg. We returned late in the evening with the car and the code to enter the car park no longer worked. The reception was closed and there is no number to call. I am not sure what you are supposed to do if your room code does not work, sleep in the hallway I guess. There does not seem to be any way of contacting the hotel management when the reception is closed, which is concerning to say the least. We could not access the car park and had to park some distance away on the street and walk back to the hotel in the pouring rain.
The morning of check-out, I went to the front desk to complain about the parking code the night before, I was rudely cut off and told to email the hotel to ask for a refund of the parking charge. I did this immediately and more than a week later, have received no reply from the hotel, nor any refund.
All in all, it was a really disappointing experience and I would be unlikely to stay at a B&B hotel again.
The hotel is nicely decorated and conveniently located. The breakfast was decent.
However, the beds are extremely narrow and convex so staying on them during the night is an art.

Dangerous for children!! Windows unsafe!! The reason for 1 star review is that it was possible to open the window fully onto the street below. The room was on the first floor. There was no railing or balcony, just a sheer drop. Having a …
Had a lovely visit to Bremen and this hotel met expectations with friendly service. The tram is immediately outside which made getting around very easy.
Although a couple of km from the city, the tram links are excellent. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We didn't opt for breakfast as we wanted to eat out in bremen and was slightly disappointed that there …
